It's Showtime. Popcorn and a movie...and rescue animals too!
How about popcorn and a movie while helping rescue homeless animals? Not a bad proposistion and Scout's Honor Rescue and Don Puryear can make it happen!
Scout’s Honor Rescue, Inc., is hosting its First Annual Movie Night & Silent Auction fundraiser at 7pm on November 6, 2008, at River Oaks Theatre and Epicure Cafe.
All costs associated with the event are being underwritten by Happy Tails Dog Spa and Donald Puryear of RE/MAX Metro, so 100% of the donations of money and auction items will go directly to the rescue organization.

 | The fifth annual Rescue Rally, scheduled for November 8, 2008, will be held at The Gingerman in Houston’s Rice Village from 1PM - 5PM. The Rally offers the opportunity for people to meet adoptable dogs, learn more about a particular breed and a chance to understand why rescue organizations are so critical to filling the gap left by area shelters. There is no on-site adoption but interested adopters can meet available dogs and start paperwork to acquire their beloved pet.
In its fifth year, The Rally now features nine local rescues including Houston Area Doberman Rescue (HADR), Southeast Texas Labrador Rescue (STLRR), Basenji Rescue, Country Hearts and Hounds Rescue, Friends of Rescued Mastiffs, Chesapeake Bay Retriever Rescue, SMART All-Breed Rescue, and Dal-Rescue.
